So, we went to the doctors office today to get his one year check up.
Some stats:
Weight: 19 lbs 7 oz.
Height: 29.5″
Head Circumference: 47.6 cm
He got his shots just fine, with a little bit of crying, and he and his parents all got flu shots (with only minimal crying on the parents part.)
All healthy signs in development, and while a little under weight still healthy, and active. We’re in the midst of switching from bottles to solid foods, and in a couple months we’re going to start looking at maybe moving to a sippy cup for all liquids. (big step). He’s been steadily working his way into real foods, and we’ve been doing at least one real food meal a day for a while.
So, baby is healthy and developing just fine according to the doctor, with some of his motor skills being above average.
The next big move for us is moving from the car seat we have, to a non-removeable forward facing car seat. We’ll do that in January sometime, and we’ll put the current carseat/stroller frame away. Which is sad, because it was so functional and awesome. I highly recommend to any parents out there, this is the way to go. Forget those big all in one stroller things, they’re just too bulky and expensive. We loved our minimalist one, and it worked wonders.

Hiro’s 2nd snow! The first one that he’s been able to play in though. He’s not so sure about the cold stuff in Dad’s hand, he kept trying to hand it to Mom.
